Superior quality and longevity
In collaboration with Dr. Fankhauser, Meridian launched the first commercial Nd:YAG Laser in 1982. The MR Q SLT has integrated DNA, the legacy of the Microruptor II, synonymous with innovation, reliability and effectiveness. Meridian Medical MR Q SLT combines a powerful Nd:YAG with SLT photoregeneration and provides the possibility of combination with Meridian photocoagulators. Meridian Medical carefully selects the best European components and technologies to assemble its lasers. We offer our users a sturdy and reliable unit. The MR Q SLT's housing is made of a high-quality aluminum monobloc which provides unique solidity and dust-free electronics.
Usability
MR Q SLT features a powerful dual laser module with an Nd:YAG laser combined with an accurate SLT photoregenerator. Equipped with a control panel with 7" touch display. Positioned on either side of the table, users can easily see laser parameters and select between laser mode, burst and offset options. The mirror tower with V-division (optional function) allows coaxial Nd:YAG treatments. This tower allows for a red reflection that results in backlighting of the posterior capsule, ideal for premium IOL treatments. The laser head and slit lamp knobs are ergonomically positioned on each side of the slit lamp. The MR Q SLT has been shown to be effective in the treatment of primary open-angle glaucoma therapy, see “recommended settings” table on page 10.
Safety
MR Q SLT has built-in features that ensure better treatments, safer laser offset and faster response. Front and rear digital offset allows the user to see where the laser focus is active and provides a clear warning when the front offset is selected, minimizing user error. The control panel requires double confirmation to safely switch between laser modes, and the screen changes color for a visual queue. The electronically controlled offset resets to 100 μm back after waiting laser input; This unique feature minimizes the risk of shooting in the wrong position, avoiding the risk of lens pitting. The red reflex(1) resulting from the backlighting of the posterior capsule is optimized with the on-axis capsulotomy. This feature allows for continuous evaluation of capsulotomy integrity, shape and edge position compared to premium multifocal IOL rings, resulting in a higher degree of success and greater patient satisfaction.
Flexibility and comfort
MR Q SLT is equipped with a double column table with a large top. This presentation facilitates wheelchair access for patients and offers a perfect work space for attending physician patients. The unique chin rest design ensures a comfortable, relaxed and ergonomic position for the patient during treatment while the user has free access to the patient. The slit lamp offers an optional tonometer pole to use the unit as a diagnostic tool device. Meridian engineers can access the MR Q SLT remotely, offering a one-stop online service to evaluate and provide calibration at virtually any time of day.
